Fans of the original Kelly Charles track may find that Don Diablo and Zonderling’s take is the truest to the original sample thus far, balancing the rich, deeper women’s vocal with the darker base tones Don Diablo is known for. However, Don Diablo and Zonderling manage to put a new spin on the sample by maintaining the same pitch from the original vocal sample, whereas the popular Sultan + Shepard track and the 90s rave hit “No Good (Start The Dance)” by Prodigy had both hiked the pitch up to a much higher tone. “No Good” may induce a sense of nostalgia for EDM fans, due to the popular use of “You’re No Good For Me” – most recently in Sultan + Shepard’s hit track of the same name back in 2013. Don Diablo is on a roll, as the music video for his June release “Anthem (We Love House Music)” just passed 1.7 million views after only two weeks, and “No Good” is poised to follow in its success.
